Meet the Staff

Dr. Stephanie P. Lindsay grew up in Michigan and attended Kalamazoo College for her undergraduate degree.  Following college, she attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and graduated in 1999.  Dr. Stephanie then completed an additional two years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry at The Ohio State University and Columbus Children’s Hospital and obtained her master’s degree in 2001.  She maintains an active affiliation with the UNC School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. 

Dr. Stephanie has extensive training in pediatric oral conscious sedation and she exceeds the standard of care in her monitoring and emergency equipment.  In addition, she is trained and certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. 

Prior to opening her own private practice, Dr. Stephanie was the dental director in Rowan County for 3 years servicing the under-privileged children of the area.  She continues to be an advocate for children and children’s health organizations. 

 Dr. Stephanie and her husband, Mark, have 3 children, Grant, Drew and Paige.

    Research Topic: Completed an undergraduate thesis investigating heat shock proteins as possible markers for periodontal disease.

    Mentor: Drs. Michael Rosenbam and Jules Hirsch
    Research Topic: Examined the biochemical processes of fatty acid and glycogen catabolism as it relates to the etiology and treatment of obesity.

 

Dr. Kristina D. Coffield (“Krissy”) is a native of North Carolina.  She grew up in Washington, NC, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree.  Dr. Krissy was a classmate of Dr. Stephanie’s at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where she graduated in 1999.  After dental school, Dr. Krissy spent a year treating underserved children in a non-profit dental clinic in Southern Pines, NC, which solidified her desire to become a pediatric dentist.  Dr. Krissy then completed an additional three years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of North Carolina and UNC Hospitals, where she obtained her Master’s degree in 2003.  She practiced as an associate dentist in the Raleigh area from 2003 - 2009.  She also continues to maintain an active affiliation with the UNC School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Assistant Professor.

Like Dr. Stephanie, Dr. Krissy has extensive training in pediatric oral conscious sedation and exceeds the standard of care in her monitoring and emergency equipment.  In addition, she is trained and certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Supports (PALS).

Dr. Krissy and her husband, Neil, have three children, Gavin, Wyatt, and Emery.

Ashley Walker
Certified Dental Assistant/Clinical Coordinator

Ashley lives in Greensboro with her husband Chris.  She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at GTCC in 2006; she then completed the Dental Assisting National Board exam and became a Certified Dental Assistant.  Additionally, she has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from UNC-G.  Ashley is also a part time instructor at GTCC in the Dental Assisting Department.  Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family, especially her niece Carlie!  Her hobbies include reading, exercising, teaching, and watching Tarheel basketball.  Ashley comes from a large family and has always enjoyed working with children.  Once she decided on a career in dentistry, she knew it would be pediatrics!  She joined the practice in 2006.

Angie Stanley
Office Manager/DA II

Angie Stanley is a NC native who currently lives with her husband Kelby in Liberty.  She graduated from GTCC in 1992 from the dental assisting program.  She joined Dr. Stephanie in 2004.  She has 2 cats Callie and Jasper.  She also has a great dane Astro and a boxer Abe.  Angie's hobbies include spending time at Badin Lake, watching baseball and softball.  Angie has a niece Brittany who is the absolute joy of her life.

Lauren Thalasinos
DA II

Lauren was born in Greensboro, NC and continues to reside there.  She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at GTCC in 2007.  Directly following graduation she joined Dr. Lindsay's staff.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She also likes to spend her time watching football, traveling to new places, and shopping.

Wendy Everhart
Business Coordinator

Wendy Everhart is a North Carolina native, who grew up in Davidson County.  She  graduated from the radiology program at Wake Forest.  She has over two years of experience in Pediatric Dentistry. She joined Dr. Lindsay in 2006.  She has one sister and one niece.  Wendy’s hobbies include, spending time with her boyfriend Matt and Abby and Gracie her two chocolate Labradors, watching football, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.

Brandy Abbruscato
DA II

Brandy is a North Carolina native who lives in Eden.  She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at GTCC in 2007.  She joined Dr. Lindsay in 2009.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, Daniel, and her cousins Caleb, Bryson, and Hailey.  She has two cats Neko and Mojo.  She is an active member of Ridgeway Church of God where she serves as the children's department director.


Heather Anderson
DA II

Heather was born in Randleman, NC and continues to reside there.  She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at GTCC in 2000.  Directly following graduation Heather went into Orthodontics where she went on to become a Certified Orthodontist Assistant thru the Dental Assisting National Board.  Heather recently joined Dr. Lindsay's staff in 2009.  She enjoys spending time with her husband Bryan and beautiful daughter Carley.  She spends her free time shopping, traveling, and volunteering at her daughter's school.
   

Jean Elberson
Administrative Assistant - Office "Mama"

Jean Elberson is a North Carolina native who lives in Franklinville.  She has two children, Jeff and Angie, a stepdaughter, Lori, and five grandchildren, Brittany, Jonathan, Dustin, Stetson and Lydia.  She enjoys spending time with her four sisters, gardening and making pottery.  She is an active member of Franklinville Wesleyan Church where she serves as church secretary and assistant director of the Wesleyan Women's fellowship.
